World War 2 left most industrial countries devastated but the manufacturing capacity escaped undamaged. Industrial expansion took place and large corporations played an important role in developing and marketing products and services. So designers embraced corporate visual identification as a major design activity.

At that time design consultancies realised that a mark should be reduced to elementary shapes that are universal, visually unique, and stylistically timeless. So here we are today using knowledge of the past and by improving and somehow maintain certain important aspects of it, design consultancies are creating 'identity', the so-called 'logo' or 'symbol' to differentiate products or enterprises from each other.

Identity is a gateway to branding – so it should not be created but mastered so that it is imperative, visually unique and reflect the enterprise and product personality. We create identities that attract the viewer in a very small fraction of a second which gives your business a place in the market with its huge competitors. Visual elements such as colours, typeface and graphic shape effect the viewer's perception either to draw their attention or the opposite. Sometimes it is crucial to respect and consider cultural boundaries before any creative work reaches the market.
